Elixair Oy

Elixair was started in August 2005 but it is a company with a long history. We design, manufacture and market electrostatic air purifiers and their components in Turku, Finland.

Elixair was formerly called SN-electronics Oy. It was founded by Seppo Nikkanen in 1997 to produce components for Semi Tech, the former Nokia Consumer Electronics. A couple of years later the company purchased Scanpower Oy. Scanpower had been founded by top engineers at Salora television factory in the 80's and was manufacturing electrostatic filters. This began the business connections with Elixair.

The Elixair brand was born in the 1970's. The company grew succesfully and was sold to Asko-Upo. Later it was sold on to the diversified company Allaway Oy in central Finland. Among other products they manufacture central vacuum cleaners.

In 2005 Allaway Oy decided to concentrate on their main product and gave up Elixair air cleaners. That was ideal for the main Elixair component supplier SN-electronics. The circle closed and the brand is once again being developped by a small Finnish company.

Today Elixair is a company with a turnover of 1,5 million € and a dozen employees. We work with energy on the domestic market and will restart export in the near future.
